Sharing the Love of Jesus, serving the Community
With Sunday worship at the heart of its life, Immanuel is a lively, thriving church, open seven days a week and offering a wide range of activities and facilities to the community around.
We like to think we are a welcoming church but you’d need to come along and meet us to find that out! We are always keen to see new faces – so why not join us one Sunday morning at 10.30am for worship? We’d love to see you.
As you can see, we are quite a friendly bunch!
Our Partnership of Churches
Since 1969 Immanuel has been in an ecumenical partnership in Old Town, Swindon, with Christ Church (Church of England) and Bath Road (Methodist) making us arguably the oldest partnership of its kind in the country. Although we worship in three separate buildings we recognise each other’s ministries and try to work as closely together as we can.
Our partnership logo shows three arrows looking to
the cross and also coming from the cross – three churches centred on Jesus, but also looking out into the community and the wider world.
Highworth URC
For more than a decade we were in a joint pastorate with the United Reformed Church in Highworth, sharing a minister. Since January 2024, however, we have become a single church using two sites. If you can’t get to Immanuel, our members at Highworth would love to see you.

Other churches at Immanuel
Two other churches use our premises on a regular basis: The Romanian Pentecostal Church has met at Immanuel for some years both on a Sunday for services, as well as for mid-week prayer sessions. More recently a local group of Nepalese have chosen to hire one of our rooms for their own worship as a Himalayan Church on a Sunday afternoon. We are delighted to be able to welcome these friends into our buildings.
